I'm a writer at heart: award-winning author, trauma-informed somatic writing coach and INFJ empath. I am passionate about honoring what our bodies have been through and the stories and emotions they hold.

Finding ourselves on the page
You've been through a fair amount of trauma. You're a writer at heart too; it's easier for you to write about your feelings than talk about them. Maybe you've written formally, maybe you've only journaled, and maybe you've completely lost your voice in the wake of a season of pain. That happens. I know.
You’ve felt "too much" all your life, carrying an internal landscape that feels intense, overwhelming and vast. But you keep returning to the page because you can't help it – you're a writer at heart.
Yet when you try to write your way through trauma, the words either intimidate you or they feel thin – like they're not quite touching how it actually feels. They don't convey your experience in a way that makes you feel whole.
This gap between how you feel inside and what gets written on your page is what I call the wordless ache – that quiet sense that nobody truly sees you in your story and nobody cares. Most sensitive writers have this.
It isn’t a lack of talent. It’s a somatic disconnect.

The Healing Power Of Witnessing & Expressing My Story
I sit at the intersection of two worlds that rarely speak the same language: the world of high-level literary craft and the deep, tender world of trauma recovery.
I've studied and written with Janet Fitch (White Oleander) and Tom Spanbauer, founder of the Dangerous Writing method. I've also been runner-up for The Missouri Review Jeffrey E. Smith Editor's Prize. I know what it takes to write a narrative that bleeds and sings.
But I also know what it's like for your highly sensitive body to feel like a crime scene. Having used writing to reclaim my own wholeness after decades of spectacularly dissociative trauma, I found peace in my body and deep healing through creative expression.
Out of this journey, my Body Writing™ framework was born.
Body Writing bridges the disconnect between feeling alone in your story and finding wholeness through the act of writing it. Whether that means giving your body a voice through journaling or crafting a somatic memoir, it draws from Somatic Experiencing, IFS Parts Work, Expressive Writing and Tom's "dangerous" approach of going exactly where your story feels vulnerable – to heal it from the inside out. 💐

Little known facts about me
The human behind the framework
My first job at seventeen was as a professional ballroom dancer, but writing has always been my first love. For me it's a deeply physical act that tethers me to my body and happiest self, even when I'm writing about hard things. Which I usually am.
I’ve self-published two books, but the credential I'm most proud of is using writing to reclaim my voice and internal bloom after decades of dissociative trauma.
My Body Writing framework was born directly out of that experience.
I’m an Aquarius sun, Cancer moon and Taurus rising. I love flowers, emotional honestly and iced Americanos with cream. Most days I can be found with either earplugs or earbuds in —Tori Amos is my perpetual favorite listen.
