Somatic Shadow Journaling Course
BODY STORY
23 days of guided journaling prompts for somatic release â for the highly sensitive woman whose body feels really hard to love.
Enter the SanctuaryYour highly sensitive body feels really hard to love.
Â
It's holding years of anxiety, self-judgement, pain, trauma memories and swallowed emotions and you know this â that make your body feel really hard to connect with, let alone love.
You've tried journaling these things out on your own but struggle to connect with your body and worry that if you go too deep on your own, the writing will leave you flooded and won't really make a difference anyway.
It's normal to have that worry and reasonable to have that doubt. Most of my clients meet me here. Like them, you've probably never been walked through how to release stored emotions from your body in a way that heals, not hurts.
You want peace in your body and a more loving relationship with it, but without releasing the trapped charge of shadow emotions - sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, shame, disgust and unprocessed trauma stored in your body, both those things will stay out of reach.
Why does this journaling work?
Because your body releases trapped charge through intuitive response.
Â
If you hold so much that feels so big, you can't stand to be with your body or feelings, I've been there. Like me, you've probably also tried journaling to resolve this, but it doesn't quite work â it doesn't get inside there or feel like change anything. Thatâs true because trapped energy isn't cognitive. It lives in your body, not your head.
Why does this journaling work?
Because your body's intuitive response never lies.
The prompts in this course are not about you being pretty, digestible or polite any longer. They're about allowing your body and you to have intuitive, honest responses through my Body Writing⢠framework.Â
Body Writing⢠is my 4-part, signature framework of grounding, interoception, body awareness and expressive writing. Each prompt guides you through these four parts, establishing a direct path from body to page.
By allowing your intuitive body respond to each one, you'll get somatic release that feels immediate, safe and final.Â
I wrote this course because I needed it.
Because for years, my body felt like a crime scene.
Â
I'm highly sensitive, but couldn't find any therapist, coaching, conversation or course that could meet me at the depth and intensity of what I felt inside. So I tried to calmly journal my way into peaceful connection with my body, but my nervous system wasn't having it. Because what I held didn't want bypassing â  it wanted witness.
So I wrote this course and was the first to go through it.
I wrote to my body and gave my body the pen. I stopped trying to be pretty, digestible and "positive" and let myself be honest â and for the first time I felt different once the journaling was over. Changed. Deeply somatically integrated and released.Â
I realized through this that when we honor what our body is dying to say, our war with our body and sensitivity can end.

Topography of the releaseÂ
A downward journey through the body parts holding your stories
Â
Unprocessed shadow emotions don't float in your body; they settle â each one into a specific body part. Body Story follows a deliberate, downward path through those parts to meet the emotions where they live.
Over 23 days, youâll receive mind-body insight detailing the emotional charge of specific body parts, followed by a Body Writing prompt to help you move that energy from your body onto your page.
We talk emotions, high sensitivity and body, touching:
- Your Throat/Thyroid:Â Breaking the seal on what youâve had to swallow to stay safe
- Your Sternum/Chest:Â Releasing the density of grief and the shrapnel of old heartbreaks
- Your Gut/Solar Plexus: Integrating resentment and the exhaustion of digesting things you never should've had to
- Your Pelvic Bowl: Allowing your feminine rage
- Your Spine & Legs:Â Unburdening your body from the weight of having to "stand up"Â when that felt devastating
- And more
This is a journaling tour of the places you don't know how to access alone. Prompt by prompt, we'll clear old charge, stories and pain from your system so you can finally feel safe in it, and more loving toward your highly sensitive body.

Who is she to guide me?
Iâm glad you asked.
Hello, I'm Jennifer
Highly sensitive survivor, somatic writing coach and INFJ empath.
Â
As mentioned above, for years my body felt like a crime scene â and I don't say that lightly. From the collected charge of just trying to live in my body to boundary violations and abuses, I was the woman with chronic stress conditions who felt "too much" and had the dissociation to prove it.
I studied somatic release because I needed it to survive.
I wrote Body Story at a loss for what else to try. I wrote these prompts so I could be honest and through that, discovered how effectively our pens can be the direct path to release we're able to feel.
I am a Certified Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Coach but more importantly, I'm a sister sensitive whose internal landscape can also feel very intense. I've learned to hold and witness myself, and have been helping deeply sensitive women do the same since 2019.
In this program, I won't flinch at your intensity and I'm not afraid of your shadows. I am here to be the steady nervous system you can lean on while you find your way back to your own. âđźđ

begin your 23-day journeyQuestions about Body Story?
What if I get overwhelmed or can't finish in 23 days?
What if the prompts bring up something too big for me to handle alone?
Is this a replacement for therapy?
I'm not "a writer." Will this still work for me?
Do I need special tools to begin?
How do I know which option is right for me?
I have a question I donât see answered here.
Reminder:
You cannot heal in a body you're at war with.
The intensity you feel right now isn't a problem to be solved or an overreaction for you to try and push down â it's an invitation to let your body be heard. Let's put the internal fire out and bring you home to your softer self.Â
I'm ready to come home to my bodyA quick note:Â Â
Absolutely nothing inside this course is generated or in any way touched by AI. I take that very seriously and want you to know: we're both humans here.
